Wellbeing

The final core element of the work that we do at The Harbour Project is to offer
regular free activities to support positive mental wellbeing and integration into the
wider community

We currently run a café that happens twice a week which regularly sees more
than 100 people attend. It is a social space for people to have tea or coffee, play
games, and relax. During the café, our Visitor-Volunteers offer their time as
barbers and are always incredibly busy trimming hair and beards.

We also have two football training sessions per week, and it is one of our most
popular activities. Harbour United recently got affiliated with the Wiltshire FA
which means our players can play recreational matches with local teams.

The Women’s Engagement Lead is responsible for coordinating a weekly
Women’s Group which sees between 10 and 20 women attend. The Young
Visitor Engagement Lead works with the Youth Lead to run a weekly Youth Group
for 16-25 year olds

We also have an LGBTQ+ group that is a safe space for people to come and
socialise and meet others.
