Cultural Activities
We organise trips to cultural events and destinations, both around Swindon and further afield. A lead volunteer currently runs ‘Harbour on Tour’ and has organised trips to The Whitehorse, Stonehenge, Oxford and more which includes activities such as museum and art gallery visits, orienteering and hiking.
Subject to funding each summer we take over 160 asylum seekers and refugees to the beach to experience, what is for some the first time their feet have touched sand and they have swam in the sea. Creating new positive memories with new friends away from the stresses of everyday life in the asylum process.
